Eleusinia
Eleusinian Banquet
Chi Omega was founded on April 5, 1895 at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Each year, the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston honors the anniversary of Chi Omega’s founding with the Eleusinian Banquet. The banquet, a fundraiser for scholarships, is usually held the first week of April in conjunction with Founder’s Day. During Eleusinia, we recognize 50, 60 and 70-year members and announce the scholarship winners. The Psi Zeta chapter from the University of Houston honors its graduating seniors, and we announce the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston Woman of the Year.
