Chi Omega was founded on April 5, 1895, at the University of Arkansas, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Each year, the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston honors the anniversary of Chi Omega’s founding with Eleusinia. The celebration is usually held the first week of April in conjunction with Founder’s Day. During Eleusinia, we recognize 50, 60 and 70-year members and announce the scholarship winners. Members from the Psi Zeta chapter at the University of Houston celebrate with the alumnae and we announce the Chi Omega Alumnae Association of Houston Woman of the Year.

Lou is pictured here with husband John and daugher Lily.
Thanks to our 2022 Eleusinia Event Chairs Katie Walmsley and Katelyn Swanson Karger for planning a fabulous Founders Day Celebration. They are pictured here with Co-Presidents Sandy Carlton and Angela Cheves.
